Alright, it's time I tell you about the Spotted Lantern Fly. Sometime late April, these detestable insects will hatch from their eggs and kill all of our trees. Yes, I know, I called a bug detestable; uncharacteristic of bug-lover me, right? WRONG! Everyone should hate these things. They're an incredibly invasive species unintentionally introduced around 2020, and they feed on enough tree sap for such trees to end up dead. We need to do our part to stomp them OUT! One trick is to stand in front of them, since they tend to jump forward, and as such into your shoe that just so happens to be stomping on them (they used to ONLY jump forward, but they got smart two years ago. Curse you, evolution). There are much more convuluted ways to capture and destroy these pests, but simply stomping on them works wonders. Oh, right, I need a normal caption, too...
